Blue Dirt Buller Blow Out rounds out Mt Buller’s MTB season

Mt Buller is set to host the annual Blue Dirt Buller Blow Out mountain bike event on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April, officially closing out the Mt Buller 2017 MTB season. It will be an action-packed weekend, with Blue Dirt’s full gravity and all mountain shuttle services operating through the weekend, plus great opportunities to socialise including a free sausage sizzle, a celebratory dinner night and plenty of entertainment.

With perfect autumn weather making riding conditions ideal, the event is a great way to ride some of the best mountain bike trails in Australia one last time. Mt Buller offers over 100 kilometres of cross-country, flow down and gravity trails, including Australia’s first and only must-ride, the Australian Alpine Epic Trail spanning some 40kms between Mt Buller and Mt Stirling.

Set to go off with a bang, the weekend has plenty to offer riders of all disciplines. The Blue Dirt Gravity MTB shuttles will be running non-stop from 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday, and the All Mountain shuttles offer five lifts a day from the bottom of the mountain. After riding the trails, the fun doesn’t stop. Two day pass holders will enjoy free beer and dinner on Saturday night, not to mention free entry in to the Mile High foosball championship, while one day pass holders stay warm with a free sausage sizzle lunch located by the Buller fire pits each day.

Aaron Kopanica from Blue Dirt Mountain Biking says, “This is the season-closer to end all season-closers, making sure the Buller season goes out with a bang! This event has been a sell-out in the past so we are encouraging everyone to register online as there will be no on-the-day registration.”
