The MTB Season is upon us

25 October 2016

That time of year is upon us when we put the skis away and dust off the bike as we prepare for a busy summer here on top of the world. Don't mind the magpies as you saddle up for another exciting season of riding!

Our trail crew is already out prepping trails and have a big task ahead of them over the coming weeks to ensure the network is in tip-top condition and ready for you to ride. Our official opening weekend is on the first weekend of December (3-4 December), when our entire network will be open. But lucky for you we'll have rolling trail openings from 29 October, as finished trails come online, so keep an eye on the MTB Trail Report for the latest status updates.

The following trails are open, ready for you to relish from 29 October
Copperhead, Soul Revival, One Tree Hill, Gang Gangs, Wombat Trail, Picnic Trail, Medusa, Clancy's Run, Split Rock and Delatite River Trail. The Village pump track is also set up and ready to be pumped by you!
Note: Given the harsh winter and above average rainfall, this has changed the condition of the Delatite River Trail, and it's rougher than in previous years. Maintenance is continuing on this trail, so please expect significant windfall not yet cleared. All other trails remain closed and are not fit to ride, due to windfall and debris. For riders' safety, and to prevent trail damage, we encourage everyone to keep to open trails.
For further info on the trails head to the Bike Buller website.
